This one is an intense ride. This Southern Noir follows Titus Crown, the first Black Sheriff in Clarion County VA, as he hunts for a killer and wades through the town’s dark history.

Absolutely loved it. Definitely check the trigger warning though.

But this year has really been rough. You don’t want to turn away or ignore what’s happening but the way all this was suppressing my urge to create was honestly starting to worry me. I still haven’t been able to write more than a paragraph at a time. But that’s more than I had been doing.

The other day with out prompting, I started singing a song from a musical and was changing up the lyrics to fit the current situation I was in. And usually for me that’s a sign that my creative brain was wanting to work.

For me so far I’ve almost needed to find somethings to immerse myself in. Letting my brain and creativity kinda let go of all the heavy shit. Lately that has looked like me diving into a book or hyper fixating on a video game world. Allowing myself to create characters in that world.

Recently a coworker of mine used my correct pronouns in a work email. I’m almost positive it was unintentional but the joy I felt in that moment. I did cry at my desk a little. I hadn’t realized how much I’d needed to hear that in a professional setting.

Sorry I’ve been away Bluesky. Between Heated Rivalry and work, I’ve be dissociating (good and bad) and I finally found my way back to bluer skies.
