2. Federal workers laid off since October
3. Federal workers/military/contractors who have not had a paycheck for their work

Telling someone who didn’t volunteer to be in harm’s way in the first place that they’re an acceptable casualty in the bigger fight is not an effective way to build a winning coalition.

The number of people in the last 18-odd hours who’ve told me as a federal employee (contractor, so I have no guarantee of backpay) some version of, “well, you’re already fucked, so just take one for the team” has been really eye-opening.

I have family that worked and still are employed by the federal government, so I feel this a lot, and frankly this is just the latest in a series of events that have been quite negatively eye-opening about the Left as of late.

With all due respect, people are being real cavalier with other peoples' livelihoods. And it's real interesting that the people y'all want to suffer are the people that actually voted for Harris and the ones y'all are trying to save are folks that likely walked into the ballot box and voted trump.

I also haven’t forgotten how you all were ready to destroy Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Friday because you all thought she sided with the Trump admin regarding SNAP benefits.

So, to be clear: everyone came in today wanting to blame Chuck Schumer and they’re going to do it regardless of the actual outcome, no matter what.
