The GOP is consistently struggling to break 42 or 43 on a lot of generic ballot polling. I believe the highest number I've seen from a good quality poll was 45 (and that probably pushed leaners, because Dems were at 52 iirc).
The focaldata poll is basically bang on the average right now. RV generic ballot has D+6/7, and R's stuck in the low 40's.
Rs at 42 in the generic ballot. Again.

In general, everything we have right now is that seats up to around R +12 are going to be highly competitive if not out right favoring democrats if they're in the single digits.
This is uh, not a pathway to win a majority.. maybe not in either house.

It's pretty clear the entire WH thought they could bomb shit, Iran would give them whatever terms to stop and they'd be done in a week or two.
