Can writing a scientific paper for the first (or fourth. Or fortieth) be a battle? Yes.
But knowing how to approach the process and what your collaborators, supervisors, and journals expect from you during that process lowers the barrier immensely.

Roughly forty workshop participants wearing blue lanyards cluster in the atrium of a modern research facility, smiling up at the camera; a reception desk with monitors is on the left and glass entrance doors on the right.
In a clean-room, a speaker in blue coveralls and a hairnet stands beside a slide titled βThe way forward in the search for neutrinoless double beta decayβ while about a dozen similarly suited colleagues sit at tables with boxed lunches, notebooks and laptops, listening intently.
Sixteen scientists in blue clean-room suits, safety glasses and orange or white hard hats pose shoulder-to-shoulder on a yellow metal platform inside an underground cavern, beaming at the camera.
Last week DEAP-3600 shone at SNOLAB Future Projects Workshopβ¨. Chris Jillings gave a full talk on the detector, while Michela Lai (UC Riverside) and Mark Boulay (Carleton) also spotlighted #DEAP3600 in their broader presentations.

There are many clear signs of #darkmatter from cosmology and astrophysics. This #CMSPaper 1393 looks whether we can make dark matter in LHC collisions, in collisions where one top quark is made potentially with dark matter. We did not see any signs of that in that signature arxiv.org/abs/2503.20033
