If anyone is going to post about what happened at Tumbler Ridge, BC, you had better be calling it a mass shooting AND FEMICIDE.

Femicide = the deliberate killing of women and girls, including by family members

Alberta Knew Measles Was Harming Pregnant Patientsโ€”But Stayed Silent | The Walrus Internal documents reveal health officials withheld data about the people most at risk

You wouldn't believe how many times I talked to a patient or read their chart where they showed up to the emergency department saying, "I think I might kill myself, please admit me to the hospital for my own safety."

And they were almost always sent home.

My experience working on a research project on youth mental health for 2 years taught me that mental health for youth in canada is broken.

And trans and queer youth were vastly over-represented.

This is murder, and we need to call it what it is: a choice to let people die rather than admit their errors.

If you need any more proof of just how evil and self-serving IPAC-MAHA is, compare what they are doing with the requirements of the national workplace safety standard.

I'll wait.

Winter Olympic athletes are rightfully taking COVID-19 precautions - The Sick Times Despite a lack of COVID-19 precautions implemented by the 2026 Winter Olympics organizers in Italy, some athletes, teams, and their loved ones are protecting themselves from airborne pathogens by mask...

The risks of SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne pathogens can be severe, but the media continues to stigmatize Olympians taking precautions as "worried" and "extreme". We know #LongCOVID can affect anyone, even elite athletes.

Welcome to the COVID era, where public health and infection control leaders take credit for the wins (mostly vaccines, which they had very little to do with) and bury the bodies (mostly preventable if they'd check their egos at the door long enough to learn about aerosols from the experts).

Excellent thread. Lara Briden talks alot about insulin resistance. I've been doing intermittent fasting and also extended water fasting for several years, and one of the benefits is increased insulin sensitivity. Fasting is also great for fatty liver disease.

This is a revealing thread and is a common reaction in healthcare heavily facilitated by dogma in infection control. Youโ€™ll note they begin first by educating a layperson on post surgical site infection, something that is only a subsection of hospital acquired infections. 1

Pacing in the Real World

Where stopping isn't always an option.

Sometimes pacing can feel like a luxury for people who have margins, people who have extra hands, extra hours, extra anything. What do you do when the world still expects you to operate like nothing has changed, even when your body has?

Despite my best efforts I caught covid in sept 2023, either outdoors or in my doctors office, and it definitely took at least 6 weeks to recover from the autonomic dysfunction.

And about 9 months to recover from the histamine intolerance.

To end, here's an excellent thread with an example of how unions are abandoning their workers during the ongoing pandemic:

These are just a few of my ideas, but I could go on.

The point is that the pandemic is ongoing, we are in a mass mortality and mass disabling event, and politicians have abandoned us to never ending sickness and death.

Pretending that covid is over isn't the solution.
