It’s been a hard week. I currently feel like I’ve done my best, but my best isn’t good enough. I should be reminded that I’m not failing either - even if it feels like it sometimes. (2/2)

This morning my daughter was very discouraged. She got a B+ on a school assignment, which I told her was very good. She expected better of herself, and said, “Mommy, I failed.”
Clearly she didn’t. A B+ is still a very good grade (IMO). How often do we feel the same? (1/2)

My husband was woken up from his nap by our daughter loudly telling our son that he should be quiet.

The child is a recent immigrant, so his grandparents don’t live nearby. For me, these moments are then extra meaningful.

People watching is fun. This morning I witnessed a sweet interaction between a grandparent in our church and a young child swapping their glasses. They both found such delight in each other.

There’s nothing quite like laughing so hard you have tears streaming down your face. I needed that today. Thank you leaping lions and surprising bridges.

The toner arrived with one packet to go. Finished!

This copier is like the widow’s oil. It says it’s out of toner, but the new toner has yet to arrive. I have to print packets for a meeting (97 pages each), and so far it keeps printing.

This is coming from our son whose ideal temperature is 20C.

It’s amazing what a bit of sun can do. We have mountains of snow outside currently, and it’s -5C. But, the sun is shining brightly. We walked outside to head to our swim lessons, and our 9-year-old remarked, “It feels kind of like summer!”

I was curious when it was supposed to start snowing tomorrow, so checked the weather app for the local forecast. I was then curious when it was supposed to end. Apparently, it could potentially snow for 47 HOURS! What?!

I’m surprised GR isn’t on your list.

It was so good.

First snow day of the year for us. My 3 kids’ reactions:

1. Yay! Snow day!
2. Big crocodile tears that their Sunshine Visit was cancelled (again).
3. Concern for the class fish she was supposed to feed.

My daughter wanted to look at her baby book (from 2018). Apparently history repeats itself.
