It is a beautiful landscape and quite hard to imagine it swathed in smoke and fire at the height of its industrial past! It’ll be interesting to see what the National Trust does with things when they take over the museums.

I go to Birmingham all the time and it is a great city. The people are so friendly and warm there! Also, they call me ‘Bab’ sometimes, which is delightful!

Just like they lied about Brexit. Claiming if we just got rid of that ‘European’ thing, we’d be free, we’d have control, all our problems solved…
It’s NOT TRUE.
We’d inflict more chaos on ourselves and torch our own human rights framework for NOTHING.
For liars.
Again.
Good word!
Overmorrow, I intend to be fully immersed in my art studio!

Good morning! I’ve just finished Fundamentally by Dr Nussaibah Younis.
A story about rehabilitating ISIS brides in Iraq doesn’t sound very cheerful, but it’s very funny, highly original and totally fearless. I thought it was brilliant! (It’s quite rude & irreverent, so not for everyone I’m sure!)
The reason the Right are so invested in the myth that the arts have no value isn’t because the arts don’t generate wealth (they do); it’s that studying the arts teaches people to imagine better ways of judging the value of an idea than by counting how much money it makes…

We must continue Dr. Jane Goodall's mission and all fight for the future of the planet.
Yet it's a potentially fruitful line of argument. Many of the UK's current problems stem from something most of us would prefer not to dwell on - Brexit. Depressed investment, low productivity, stagnant economic growth and living standards, the strain on the public finances and thus public services, food prices, the "Boriswave" of more than 2 million (legal) immigrants, increased red tape and border hassles for businesses, farmers and travellers... all can be traced back, to a greater or lesser extent, to 2016 and the EU Referendum. And who, as he reminds us again now, spent 30 years of his life campaigning for Britain to leave the EU? Farage. It is he, Farage, who 'broke Britain' with Brexit and is now capitalising on the vast damage he caused
“Farage “broke Britain" with Brexit and is now, outrageously, capitalising on the vast damage he caused”
Article argues there’s no need to mention Reform’s racism as the Brexit shitshow is failure enough.
But that had its roots in racism too. So let’s do both.
