Me outside the uni smiling I wrote on a white board last class well done and attempted to draw a party emoji!

And that’s a wrap! 🎓Just finished an incredible semester teaching at The Institute of Foundation Studies at Arden University Leeds. Two brilliant student groups, a supportive team, & a truly rewarding experience from start to finish.
Now to tackle the marking! #University

A note book with a post it “how do you feel about collaborative data analysis?”
A scrap of paper with the word “playful”
A pile of colourful and transparent lego bricks in a pile

Amazing session w/ @drjessmannion.bsky.social on Creative Collaborative Data Analysis. Feeling playful, inspired, excited to keep embedding creative practice at every stage of my PhD!

The Relationships & Sexuality Research Team in Ireland have been collaborating with researchers in the University of Cincinnati for some time now. We decided we needed to create a name for our international research team. We are collectively now called ‘Disabilities Without Borders’. #Coproduction

I love it when I’m timetabled to teach in unusual rooms. We took full advantage of the piano & drums in the music room to create some music at the end of class! Perfect to let off steam after covering a difficult addiction topic! #CreativeTeaching

An ironing board with an iron

And today’s teaching prop! We had fun in class today, singing Xmas songs, Irish dancing, ironing, dancing to baby shark, playing air guitar, it was everybody’s birthday & there was even a proposal! The best way to teach how to form an argument & write critically! 😊 #teaching
