they can feel crispy at some parts, but they’re mostly soft! some of them are made with filling, but the standard one is just how it is (yk, like donuts)

also it’s completely fine if looking at all the sweets opens your appetite, nothing wrong with that!

my personal favorites from this set up were the jalebi (sticky yellow tangled stuff you see next to the pitcher) and the lokma/luqaimat (the sticky brown little balls just a little below it)

she’s also taiwanese so her pronunciation is so good too

and to my knowledge, the reboot has no chinese dub so far but if it does i dont think that’ll be the case as it’s very rare sadly

one last note: shampoo’s new eng va did a fantastic performance too

the reboot (so far) is more true to the manga than the og, which is very cool!
but since i grew up with the old one it still has such a special place in my heart, so i’d say both are nice in their own ways

also i really like the ending theme for the remake haha
