Thank you! I was at the same spot on the river 2 weeks ago & saw what was likely the same owl with a small fish in her talons. The area is all wetlands with shallow eddies off the river, and there are countless herons and egrets fishing there. So it seems like owls could snatch up fish. Smart birds!
