So these audits are what we call "performative" or "security theater."
They are done to give people the impression that the results are being audited and checked, but they have very little ability to actually check that the results are accurate.

Additionally, each county is only auditing 2 precincts.
In a large county like Mecklenburg, with a population of over 1 Million people - even if there is fraud, it's unlikely they will detect it by auditing 2 precincts.
. No House races will be audited. No local races. So everyone knows there is no audit of the down ballot races. That's an incentive to fraud. It's known in which races the count will not be checked.
They are throwing 10-sided dice to determine what ballots to audit.
That seems good, the ballots are chosen randomly.
But think about this:
Only 1 race will be audited & which race is known ahead of time. It's always the top race on the ballot. In this election they'll audit the U.S. Senate Race.
