05.09.2025 19:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Cool! I got into Level 42 through driving around Plymouth at night in my brothers Mk2 escort, listening to World Machine. He is 5 years older and was well into them in the mid-80's. I'm a big fan of all the albums up until 85. Not so much after but even today, they are still a great live band!
05.09.2025 18:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love Level 42! Something about you is a perfectly crafted pop song. The parent album, World Machine, is a great piece of work from the band. Better than Running in the family!

Rayner is absolute class. She's been a bit silly in organising her taxes, but that's not why they hate her. They hate her because she did not know her place.

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

RIP Jim Lovell.
One of the first three astronauts to fly to and orbit the Moon in Apollo 8. Then he survived Apollo 13. . Prior, he flew on two Gemini missions (7 & 12).
He was 97.
βοΈHe played himself in The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) and the captain of the USS Iwo Jima in Apollo 13 (1995).
It's terrific. I used to think Stella was the be all and end all of lager. How wrong! The depth of flavour on the Helles or the spicy pepper of a good pilsner knock that stuff into a cocked hat. I'm not an expert, but there are so many great beers available outside of the mass produced stuff. π»

08.08.2025 19:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I see the first articles in the UK press giving space to the claim that 3I/ATLAS is an alien spacecraft. Briefly:
Itβs a comet that formed billions of years ago, passing through our Solar System.
Itβs behaving like a comet.
There is no evidence itβs artificial.
