We could change how they're paid. House members make ~$174k-223,500/yr + benefits + pensions + allowances. We could reduce the basic salary significantly, cut allowances, & make the remainder dependent on performance (i.e. days in seat/session, balanced budget, min votes, bi-partisan work).
