The more I see, the more I feel the appraisals in the health insurance claims sector are linked to the claims they reject.

They probably celebrate after these rejections.

In patients and caregivers, they have easy prey, for these are people going through their vulnerable worst.

Stop press.

Nigeria just beat New Zealand at the Under-19 Women's World Cup.

No man except Noman can stop Sajid from taking 10 in an innings today.

The world is a poorer place without Pritish Nandy.

Rest in peace.

Just hope the Bumrah injury is not serious.

If it is, and it is due to the extra stress, the team management needs to be held accountable.

The extra runs the all-rounder would score are NOT worth the wickets a specialist fast bowler would taken.

Or the rest Bumrah could have had.

The annoying bit?

Australia made 474 at Melbourne. In the second innings, the last wicket built a stand.

India were clearly a fast bowler short.

They didn't rectify it.

And that got buried among the entire Rohit issue.

Overused National Treasure? India's Flawed Selection Has Sent Jasprit Bumrah's Workload Into Overdrive | AUS Vs IND Jasprit Bumrah has provided an unprecedented dimension to the Indian pace attack, but he now runs the risk of being overbowled.

India played defensive cricket throughout the series.

They kept playing one specialist fast bowler less than they should have.

They focused on batting depth.

A few extra runs are NEVER worth it.

At some point it was expected to take a toll on Bumrah.

This is the first time India have been bowled out five or more times for <=185 totals in the same series against Australia.

They did it thrice against England (1959 - 6 times, 1976-77, 2014) but never against other sides.

A feeble attempt to restore some balance if you feel overwhelmed by this toxic festive positivity.

This Test cricket isn't good for my health.

Need something less intense. Maybe like a T20 or something.

After this, leaving out Rohit Sharma at Sydney should not depend on the outcome.

But knowing Indian cricket, it probably will.

Today, Pakistan went from being Pakistan to being Pakistan.

So, South Africa qualified for the WTC final.

Nathan Lyon holds the world record for most Test runs without a Test fifty.

If he gets a fifty, the record will go to Kemar Roach.

These are the rules. You have to abide by them, however illogical, to satisfy the old fogeys who run rituals around the world.

Just like Magnus Carlsen was not allowed to play in jeans.

Over time, the disciple had disciples of his own. When they performed the same ritual, they made sure a cat was tied.

Centuries have passed. You cannot conduct the ritual anymore without tying a cat to a pillar but no one knows why.

“The cat you had tied to the pillar. That seemed important for the ritual.”

The wise old man shook his head in disappointment. Then he left.

The disciple found the cat. He could not find his guru, but went ahead anyway.

The wise old man kept his word. However, once he reached there, he realised that there had been a hold-up. The ritual had to be delayed.

He became curious and asked his student. The flustered young man responded: “Everything is in place ... except one.”

“What is it, my child?”

The wise old man, usually a patient person, realised that he had to tie the cat somewhere until the ritual got over. He did exactly that for the next hour, and all went well.

Then, one day, one of his many disciples wanted to perform the same ritual. He invited, among others, his guru.

This is a story that I have read many versions of, some of them by famous authors.

Long, long ago, in a land far, far away, there lived a wise old man with many disciples.

He used to perform sacred rituals. During one such ritual, a cat (some versions mention dogs) caused a lot of mischief.
