The non-power conferences aren't ruining college sports, it's the power conferences that refuse to schedule reasonable non-conference games.

It ultimately boils down to the criteria required to reach the NCAA Tournament, but it's all absurd.

Jahari Williamson spent his freshman season at Valparaiso before landing at Niagara last year.

Last season, he averaged 8.7 points and 1.1 rebounds across 31 games. The 6'1 guard is an offensive-first player with a strong ability from 3pt.

He averaged 41% last season on 4.3 3pt attempts per game.

Rob Whaley Jr. spent the last two seasons at UNLV.

He appeared in just two games last season due to an injury, but in the year prior he averaged 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds across 34 games.

The 6'7 forward isn't a three point threat, but he's prolific in the paint as he shot 61.1%.

Rayvon Griffith is coming in from Cincinnati after averaging 1.9 points across 19 games (5.6 minutes).

Griffith was highly regarded, holding offers from schools like Dayton, South Carolina, Kansas, Louisville, Alabama, Ohio State, and more.

He was ranked 64th in the country per 247Sports.

Kent State has been one of the most consistent teams in college basketball as the Golden Flashes haven't finished below .500 since 1998.
