I spok with the originator of this idea. There is a great amount of detail and thinking built into TDG. I am not the expert, but I recall him answering questions like this to my satisfaction. Yes, it SHOULD be tried on a small scale, tested & refined based on results. But it’s GOOD.

In TDG the IDEAS originate from lower levels. That’s a big difference. Higher levels are charged with carrying them out.

Well, as Franklin wisely said, the founders decided to give us a Republic, “if we can keep it.”

In TDG, power DOES originate from the neighborhood level. People locally must fiercely defend their power against seizure by those at higher levels. But yes, they could fail. Anything could fail.

Any person at the top must structurally be dependent on the active support from the community level. We need bottom up gov’t—top down like we gave now guarantees abuse.

Who should be sovereign? An executive? Or We The People?

It MUST be We The People. Structurally, TDG delivers that.

The developer of this system has decades of experience in government and spent 20 years working on this. The current system is crap. I’d throw out plutocracy today to trust members of our communities instead of corporate lobbyists and billionaire a-holes.

I’m horrified by Trump’s order to send 300 National Guard troops to Chicago. We’re only nine months into a four year term and already the president is trying to invade an American city. If you’re in the Guard, you can and should refuse these orders.

I joined black lives matter marches in Philly—even though I’m a white man in my 60s.

I could not understand why it took so long for protests. I’d been horrified by the (earlier) police murder of Phil Castillo…and others.

Now I’m horrified by the under-reaction to ICE brutality.
