We are led by evil men.

I just wish the people who have learned this lesson could somehow be safe from all this, but I think we’re all going to suffer.

Just remember: what we’re seeing is billionaires being billionaires. There is nothing new under the sun. We have beat them back before. We will beat them back again.

Guess what’s going to get hit with these tariffs: eggs.

Yesterday, I had to turn down a housing opportunity for a multi amputee coming out of a nursing home because of the freeze on federal grants. All of Beacon’s housing programs are federally funded. The freeze could put hundreds of children and people with disabilities back into homelessness.

The Republican President just froze all federal contracts, including all the grants that prevent children and adults from becoming homeless. The pause is supposedly temporary while government agencies review contracts to ensure they do not contain any antiracist policies.

Why do tyrants so often choose deeply unqualified people to serve them? Because of their unquestioned loyalty. Those people would not be given wealth or power by any kind of competent system, so their devotion becomes the necessary payment for being lifted beyond their station. Here we are.

They want you to be scared; they want you to hate. That’s their strength. Ours is compassion. Ours is understanding. Ours is possibility.

Grateful for the servants of a loving God.

I don’t know what comes after we die, but if anyone deserves to be embraced by a Love so vast it defies our comprehension, it surely is Jimmy Carter.

I’m consistently amazed how many of us have opinions about people who are homeless without ever spending any time with people who are homeless.

Holding onto our humanity will be the great test of these divided times.

What we actually have are people with real stories, real lives, real hurts, wounds, and dreams. People who have hobbies, families, a hometown, a favorite sports team. We have people who love people. And people who are loved.

They’re talking about criminalizing homelessness and confining people in large camps. This is an unfortunate but important article on what could be coming for people experiencing homelessness.

Human beings live and thrive and succeed when we support each other in our struggles. I believe we have a responsibility to each other and to the betterment of humanity.

Horrifically, it looks we’re heading in a very different direction.
