🌱 Sweet peas in the late evening. Technically they are weeds since they self seeded in a pathway. I'm not removing them until I need to. Today was hot, with high humidity. The heat advisory continues until tomorrow evening. It's time to watch for powdery mildew. #bloomscrolling #garden #Zone8b

We’ve had lots of yellow (and black) swallowtails visit the sanctuary but this is the first time since we started in 2017 that Ive seen a Giant Swallowtail visit! Probably something to do with our common Rue patch (one of their host plants) 🌱🦋

We will have to try growing that variety next year, they are gorgeous.

They are a particularly gorgeous shade of perfectly ripe red. Ours are all still green, yellow and just turning orange.

A lovely cluster of ripening cherry tomatoes with a handful of brilliant red at the top and then leading down to some blushing orange and some green. Other clusters sit to the side. In the background you can see other garden pots and beds and a small greenhouse, and the evening sky behind.
