{} is not a valid preprocessor. While the PreprocessorGroup type technically allows it, you must have at least one of `script`, `style`, `markup` and name is very strongly recommended as well.

Maybe vite-plugin-svelte can be improved to check the output of svelte.preprocess and skip returning noop.

Speaking of more visible, the separate vite-plugin-svelte:preprocess plugin allows you to inspect your preprocessors with vite-plugin-inspect.

it would be best to open an issue here github.com/sveltejs/vit... that includes the link to a minimal reproduction.

I guess one of the preprocessors is not providing a sourcemap and since vite-plugin-svelte@6 moved preprocess to a separate plugin, it is now more visible than before.

It is a bit of work but you'll help rolldown-vite to ship faster
and your users will be able to enjoy it sooner than if you waited for it to become stable before you even started to work on it.

Shout out to @sapphi.red , Tee Ming and the relentless @benmccann.com for all the recent improvements for sveltekit + rolldown-vite too.

The rolldown and vite teams have been hard at work. Support in vite-plugin-svelte is experimental of course (just like rolldown-vite itself) but it works pretty well.

After the initial support for vite7 and refactoring to modular plugins, this has some optimizations and fixes.

- Browser Target Changed to Baseline Widely Available
- Node 18 support dropped. Vite is now distributed as ESM only
- And feats, fixes, and cleanups, while we prepare for rolldown!

shame that GPC uses "do-not-sell-or-share". That implies consent to storing tracking data. DNT was more explicitly against that.
