No movement at the top, but Bublik makes a strong move up to his new career high #16. He bests his previous high of #17 back in May of 2024. The jump comes from his title in Hangzhou this week. With 4 titles this year, he's only 2nd to Alcaraz

The #ATP tour takes is far east swing for the next few weeks. Most of the tournaments are in China. Due to the situation surrounding Peng Shuai, I won't be reporting on Chinese tournaments. I said back in 2021 that the ATP should pull out of China, but alas...🤑

Rankings update for September 8

Back at #1 is Alcaraz after a nearly 2700 point swing with Sinner (63 wks at #1). Djokovic back in the top 4 on the strength of 4 GS SF. Auger-Aliassime jumps 14 spots to #13. Another Italian joins the Top 30, Darderi comes in at #30

He beats Sinner 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 to reclaim both the US Open title and the number 1 spot in the rankings. This is his 6th Grand Slam title and 2nd US Open. He now has 2 each of French Open, Wimbledon and US Open
