hearing my spouse, next to me, and still asleep, breathing gently and relaxed, I thought, I am landing

Yet, the culpability is glaring.

someday again, upon waking, I'll not first think of the election results

I will first go to the joy
of my daughter,my partner,my friends

I will go to the sense memory of rain, loam, sun on my back

I will go to the music sketch's constantly coming to me

I will go to possibilities
