Cover for the March 23rd issue of Weekly Famitsu, starring the at-the-time quite new game LET IT DIE by Grasshopper Manufacture. The featured character is Uncle Death, a totally radical skateboarding skeleton with retro hypno-glasses that calls the player "senpai". Tubular.

A couple hours ago, the end-of-service date for LET IT DIE was announced.

It's a game I have nearly 200 hours in, and one I have happily supported with my own money.

To commemorate, here is an awesome cover with LID in a 2017 issue of Weekly Famitsu, featuring skateboarding skeleton Uncle Death!

Body language is such a big element though. They managed to give her a Gollum-level inner struggle using nothing but her basic animations

Also no matter how many times I see this bit it still gives me goosebumps

Aside from body language, the biggest tell that Still is being taken over by her inner beast is that she uses Watashi instead of Atashi

The way they build suspense by using the kanji in this scene right before the reveal that even inner Still is becoming similar to regular Still is just 😩👌
