i consider it a sign of the reactionary shift in the overton window that it is difficult to criticize one of the most hegemonic and powerful institutions on earth without getting piled on by "progressive" defenders, even if you add the caveat/hedge of "extremism"

This compares less favourably to a survey in 2003, where 45 percent supported the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and 31 percent supported expelling Palestinian citizens of Israel. The March poll also asked whether the Israeli army should kill all inhabitants of an enemy city and 47 percent of Israelis affirmed they should.

The depravity here cannot be overstated.

A recent poll found:

- 82% of Israelis support forced removal of Palestinians from Gaza

- 56% support forced removal of Arab Israeli citizens

- 47% support IDF murdering *all* inhabitants of enemy cities they occupy
