This is how I have always voted in UK elections, it's an inevitable consequence of not having a proportional system.

I suspect it's very simple though. The Greens fielded a local working person as a candidate, who spoke about the problems that local people faced.

interesting that new Green MP Hannah Spencer talks almost entirely about public services, cost of living, NHS, the grind of making ends meet....
