It's work, but learning to force the aspect ratio and integer scaling with something like dgVoodoo2 opens up a whole world of crazy old interfaces to admire in pixel perfect old glory.

It's really not worth it for most people, unless you're a sicko and a first-person platformer with downright broken or incomplete player physics is your thing. But I am that kind of person.
