Solar power and battery storage is the path towards full community-based self sufficiency. By its very nature it encourages cooperative community building, and only becomes stronger and more viable as more people in your area choose solar power. It is nothing short of a miracle technology.
There's no such thing as fixating on solar too much everyone who tells you otherwise is a petrocucked gas-cel. Imagine favoring extractive resource hoarding instead of transitioning towards a collective harvest mentality, gas-cels down tremendous get absolutely fusion-mogged.
It started to accomplish what they intended: freaking out a blue state, pre-texting some kind of thing? which ended up being the future legal problem I guess?
They were raised by mountain dew code manchild.
I'm just glad they had to go under oath. Dumb/confident people get given huge responsibilities all the time, especially in sycophantic chains of command like Elon's. But doge was more extreme than anything the US govt has allowed before and now they have to explain themselves. Turns out...
There were no books.
Yes, reassured is going to be the very last thing I feel.
I'm so angry at Leavenworth's city commissioners. I learned what it means to care for your neighbors when I grew up there. And 4 out of 5 votes decided that a private prison should reopen for ICE and DHS to throw away neighbors. Angry doesn't begin to describe it. www.kansascity.com/news/state/k...
today is the only day you can post this until 2037
Bad vibes in media today. Why stir more when it's already a tinder box?
here are the emails and phone numbers for all five members of the city commission of Leavenworth, KS. Rebecca Hollister, mayor pro tem, was the only dissenting vote.
If you are a resident of KC metro, please call & email to tell them why CoreCivic is bad for greater Leavenworth & the heartland.
Leavenworth KS city government, in anticipation of a massive outpouring of local opposition in its final hearing to approve a permit for CoreCivic’s immigration detention camp, has preemptively limited the final commenting period to only 1 hour. Last time it ran over 3 hours, 5:1 against.
This is my home town. Only 40 minutes away from KC. No reason not to have thousands there. "They already have prisons and a penitentiary there" is NOT the citizens agreeing to concentration camps.
in case you've never seen it, this is Roger Ebert on The Mummy
Can't process this. Not compatible with my ears.

Saw a thoughtful thread about AI, don't want to QT or argue. But. The biggest rage factor with LLMs is the people who, because genAI is transformative for coding, think it's transformative for everything else, because they devalue every other form of work and labor and knowledge.
Scientific American has updated the figure, now grouped into swimmers, fliers, walkers/runners, and vehicles. A person on a bicycle remains the most efficient way to travel, compared to all forms of biological locomotion and mechanical transport.

tomorrow is with one of the biggest election days of the year. there's so much to go over it's hard to know where to start.
so, let me help:
here are the *10* elections i'm watching the most closely, *at the state and local level* (=no federal elections included!)

I agree. I feel like a stuffy, stuck-up 150-year-old temperance movement person when I say it, but I'm so worried about it.
Nicely done
