Just in time for what I am reasonably sure is going to be some anger about the winning situation.

The amount of energy they dedicate to 'These people don't cater to my taste exclusively' without ever, just a little, considering that not everything has to be narrowly aimed at them specifically is genuinely something to behold.

I can get behind 'poochi Jayne' as a functional requirement.

Bonus points when they say 'oh THAT Is what tech debt is'

I know everyone remembers Project Plowshare, but I always remember the one specifically for boats, Project Chariot!

Which was somehow even worse!

Sounds good. Those samplers sound great, because it can hopefully give me a fix on what I like/love/dislike/etc, then figure out what to budget and grab.

It's not really urgent for me, I will be buying this pretty much certainly, I've been meaning to get into more tea stuff, but you konw, times being what they are, always so many plates...this seemed like a good excuse, and see what 'works' for me.

But also with this stuff, would this be a stressor?

First off, I'm really sorry shit is being ugly, and I'm sorry you're dealing with awful stuff.

Secondly, I basically have a question- I was going to just buy some sampler packs as a sort of 'what should I get from ya'll regularly' but realized...is this a bad time/way to support just now?

By the way- I actualy also enjoy full breaks. To step back to Reynolds-

I would love to see him do Hamlet. Either completely straight/serious, or with a playful air (because I think Hamlet-as-ultra dour is overdone right now, bring back the kinda silly one that cropped up sometimes).

For example, look at Daniel Radcliffe doing Swiss Army Man. There's inherently humor in his role as Harry Potter contrasting with that role as a multifaceted possibly magic corpse that also talks.

Chris Evans being smarmy and pure evil in Grey Man (counterpoint to genuinely good as Cap).

You also have the actors who tried to break cast to be taken seriously and failed. Adam Sandler, Jack Black. Ryan Reynolds did not, really, and was happy to live with his catalog.

Character actors who became huge are also interesting, as are ones who broke dramatically.

That can be the hook!

Where this gets interesting is to be taken as a real/serious actor you -had- to do a few Big Serious Movies. The Deathbed, the Angry Drunk, and from late 70s for men, The Gay Role.

The gay role basically stopped dead in about 2002, but -every- actor who wanted to be taken seriously did it before.

Broadly, you're right. Typecast actors are headliners, and that lets you bypass tricky moments, and skip contextual lead in. However, good actors can imply and frame out those personas almost wordlessly to people who have never seen them before, incredibly rapidly.

OTOH, character actors.

Err- to be clear, thank you for linking this, and I will definitely think about it tomorrow when I figure out if I can order, how much to order, etc. I'm -really- out of it today though which means no online whim purchases (a lesson learned thorugh various dumb mistakes).

Yeah was the first thing I looked for too, but didn't see one for that (almost certainly a logistics/stock issue) so I just figured something else to look at, and decided to push everything till tomorrow and hope my brain is more functional then (low key off evening).

oh god.

Now I want one for the specific reason of setting up a few motors and tiny speakers, and making it rustle and move a little bit. Set it to trigger when bluetooth devices registered to me move away from it a hair (watch, phone) with an ESP32.

Utilize in a coffeeshop.

Going back to drinking more tea actually sounds like something I should do, but I would frantically need a method to seep it.

But still, seems reasonable. Pin for tomorrow when I do some light budgeting.

I can't find the explainer of what the colors do to what it hatches, though...this feels like vital information.

If I get the red one can my laptop command fire when I take it out, or what?

It's kind of sad that you can strike 'complex theory of' and proceed with that, as well.

Oh I apologize- I wasn't trying to rebuff, just comiserate. It's this awful twisted knot of incentives that you see at least as well as I do, but at least we can enjoy someone doing something they like that is an impressive physical feat.

The actions of this kid in this situation are really cool. It's a good physical accomplishment. It feels good to watch and to praise.

The problem comes with literally everything else attached to it. And I don't think there is any simple or easy answer.

Entirely valid, though noteworthy that he abandoned this past Sourcery, very just 'it is'. Later books ignore it basically.

So this isn't discworld, but it -is- by Pratchett, and is sort of a side thing that....touches on your thoughts though. 'Strata'- it's not a well liked Pratchett, but maybe?

I would agree with this except for one thing- it doesn't matter if it -is- mental!

If you are an adult, and tried something once, that's fine. You really don't have to try it even once!

Hell, if the name of the food brings up negative personal associations, also fine! There is other stuff!

But won't someone think of the poor rent seekers? How can they charge you a reoccurring subscription if you do that!

From the same mind that brought us 'Our goal is to stop them from making IEDs'

So I actually think it's literally them building a path back without ever saying that the will of the people has changed -or- their previous strategy was wrong.

Just saying 'ah we didn't message in this fork, so...', which implies that if they had, it would have worked.

It's incredibly dumb

'How dare these people fight back when we are attacking them without reason! They should have just died without resisting!'

The chain of motivation is extremely tortured.

This was an airport where I gave away one of your books, amusingly!

I had finished reading it, this other person was miserable and antsy, everything was pretty much closed, so they got to read The Ghost Brigades while I moved to the next book in my pile.
