I just watched Cabin in the Woods recently and there's that great meta moment of 'STOP I draw the line at speaking latin in a book in a creepy cellar!'

I can't wait for her specifically to write her entire defense of why it's okay that they're killing gay marriage, and later criminalizing gay people.

It's so on brand for him to not even understand what the roles are, and for this to be reported and just 'we assume this is what he meant'.

Yah people are feeling 'well good it's time for courts to take it more seriously' and similar, and..uh...there's nobody alive who knows exactly the level of knock on effects to this, but it absolutely doesn't -stop- there.

I don't think people realize how big a deal it is that judges are no longer presuming good faith from DOJ representatives (I assume you caught the repeated 'officer of the court' reminders?)

All of SCOTUS's crazy recent decisions explicitly state they are based on good faith. This is a conflict.

The thing is, this is like the only video of that girl. I absolutely think this is still mostly vaporware and they spent ridiculous amounts of time and money redoing it so she didn't change hair color midway.

I've noticed this as well.

I've been asking the same question when someone asserts that 'AI is so useful and great I use it for all the things', and I ask highly specific questions, like 'Okay, so what exactly did you do with it, how did it work, how did it save you time/money/effort?'

She's a white young woman, who was doing it since she was a girl.

She gets organic news coverage (that they have to pay for), she's not getting silenced by a male figure, she has viewpoints that they don't like to see -anyone- have, and they can't visibly attack her without it being obvious.

'The USAID treatment alone is a pretty good reason to recoil from this, in my opinion.

I have come to loathe any attempt to force anthropomorphism by trickery, disguising just how bad they are at their tasks by masking it like normal human error.

I also actually think he genuinely can't see anyone white objecting to him without external funding. He genuinely thinks the ice protests are being paid.

Homophobia actually takes more work than people realize, because the gay population isn't binary ( shades of queer all over the place, most bisexuals aren't 50/50, etc), and it's just a huge population death that doesn't bias.

One reason for the loud Pride is so we can have the quiet stuff, too.
