Imagine how much of your life is lived in 26 years.

Now think how you feel about those telling them that they must give up 26 years of building their homes, community, and lives.

That's full on comic book villain evil.

I’m beginning to think that β€œwoke” and β€œpolite” are the same thing?

The type of candidate that would win against Collins is unlikely to get the resources to win.

Quite the conundrum.

A poem written by a student who's name has been blocked out for privacy.

The poem reads:

Mr. Campbell

In halls of learning, where knowledge grew
A guiding light, it was you.
With patient heart and gentle hand,
You shaped our minds across the land.

Through lessons taught and wisdom shared,
You showed us how much you cared.
Now as we part, we'll miss you so.
Your impact felt in all we know.

Though paths diverge, and time may fly,
Your legacy will never die.
In every dream and every quest,
Your spirit lives, a cherished guest.

I want to share something.

A student wrote this for a project after I told her I wouldn't be coming back in the fall.

I love being a teacher so damn much.

There's enough scary shit going down without the online fear mongers adding their two cents.

The last two weeks were awful. I said goodbye to some awesome students--I'll be at a new school in the fall so knowing I might not even see some of my day students for a very long time....it's hard.

One thing that has helped is how wonderful my kids have been. One wrote me a beautiful poem.

Pulled an all nighter to say goodbye to kids leaving at 3:30 in the morning.

This sucks.

Last night was prom.

I saw my amazing students dressed better than ever.

I wore a brand spanking new blue coat.

Two of my students literally lifted me up for a picture.

Three students hugged me.

I took as many pictures as I could.

I am going to miss this so damn much.

This Maine high school track story just got some national TV attention!

@jenpsaki.msnbc.com wrapped up her show with it tonight and read off a big portion of Anelise’s letter (and congratulated Soren for winning too! Which is so great because trans joy is so important!)

I have been going through what can only be called one of the most challenging times of my life.

My amazing, beloved, students have shown so much love.

I'm so damn lucky.

My heart is full. 7 seniors and leaving students honored me with a carnation for the spring recital tonight.

Holy moly.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Meeting with my headmaster tomorrow.

Three months ago, I thought my time at the school I work at was in jeopardy.

Fingers crossed that I get good information tomorrow.

The remarks said by the Secretary of Health and Human Services are revolting, yet entirely unsurprising.

Vaccines. Do. Not. Cause. Autism.

People with autism date, vote, create, and do more for the country than a flea like Secretary Kennedy can ever hope to understand.

After 21 years at my dream job, I’m very sad to announce my early retirement from the National Institutes of Health. My life’s work has been to scientifically study how our food environment affects what we eat, and how what we eat affects our physiology.

I read Sunrise on the Reaping in less than a full day.

I almost threw the book against a wall six or seven times.

A couple of times I thought I noticed a grammar error? Maybe it's just the dialect.

Outstanding book none the less.

Just found out NIH has officially canceled our grant, a longitudinal study of Alzheimer's disease in Black Americans. I cannot even put into words how angry I am. The truth is they are canceling it because it has Black in the title. That's it, there is no other reason to do this.
