Should've bought an extra box of issues before watching Hamnet. π
Jessie Buckley, though. What a performance.
That smile...pure fluffy joy
Anyone else love a slow library stroll through shelves of fiction? An early spring haul:

Yes! Great, thank you for this.
Take care! Was nice reading/learning about you. π
Congrats!
Right now in my WiP: a seamless passage of time. Tough stuff...!
Prep day ποΈποΈ
My writing buddy, Kola. She always looks homicidal but is in fact a sweetheart.
#Caturday, but one day late. Hello from Kola
So very surreal and wonderful to read a book by an old friend. Congrats, Kirsten!
Pick up your copy of "An Impossibility of Crows" today (available online, etc).

Good night sleep + coffee + no social media distractions in the early morning.
I think maybe Hemingway said that? We know he wrote while drinking a lot...!
Thanks for this! Here's my working logline (Contemporary/Upmarket):
When scandals rock a small town, a young and inexperienced mental health therapist tries to help the mayor's dysfunctional family, before she becomes embroiled in their mess.
Super helpful to know, thank you!
Thanks so much! Hoping #revpit helps the story along π
Haha, sure, I'll test out my logline!
"When scandals rock a small town, a new therapist helps the mayor's family before she becomes embroiled in the mess."
A bit of Schitt's Creek vibes, with some Fleabag.
Thanks for your interest!
Just drafted my app and reading up on the editors! I'm submitting a contemporary/upmarket manuscript.
Curious about this as well. That video and the sound...
I prefer real-feeling endings, even if they're not tidy or happy. A reader can sniff out when clean endings feel forced.
I suppose it's believing the ending arc of the character - bittersweet or "ever after" or somewhere in between.

I'll be honest: Kristi Noem getting fired.
Bookwise, I read "Marigold and Rose" by Louise Gluck, which was a short and sweet story told from an unusual perspective. Love her writing.

Morning as well, alongside the first cup of coffee. After lunch, the gas tank slowly runs to "low" after 6pm. I can only read after that...anyone else?

Sounds good! Thank you.
Hi Madelyn! I'm reading up on all the #RevPit editors and was heartened to note your interest in women supporting women/female rage/humor. Are these factors solely within your listed genres, or could it also encompass contemporary fiction? Thank you π
Hi Hanna! I'm a bit late to this party, but I just read through your #RevPit bio and wishlist. With your interest in family dynamics, are you seeking book club/upmarket reads under contemporary fiction? Thank you π
Right now the hardest phase is the last round of wide-lense developmental edits, especially pacing. Hard to get out of the weeds (and trim!). Curious to read others' responses.
The other is the first 1k of the first draft. π

I would love to just stick with Bluesky. I'm on IG, too. Would prefer to keep it small so time in front of a screen is for writing. Don't know how much I'm missing out on #booktok, though!

Just finished "Heart the Lover" by Lily King. Every possible feel was felt.
Brb...back in college, riding the hormonal wave of first love(s).
(This book is marvelous so far).
Lily King makes yearning look so easy.

I hope you enjoy it, too! Unforgettable.
The first book that comes to mind is "Lincoln in the Bardo" by George Saunders. I loved this novel to pieces....there's ghosts chatting with one another while Abe Lincoln visits his son's grave. Wildly imaginative and moving.
