This is tough. Can't leave mom - she won't leave. Also, I think bringing my dogs with me would be challenging, and I'd never leave them either.
So, keep calling, keep protesting, and most importantly, be judicious where you spend money because hitting them in the pocketbook is where it matters most.

If the government is shut down, and only essential operations are still going, who decided ICE is essential? Are they getting paid? I am pretty sure ripping a mom away from her kids or dragging grandpa away in leg irons is not essential (besides being unnecessary and inhuman).
