I speak French as well which as we all know is very gendered, gender-neutrality doesn't really exist. It feels strange to try and force it to be anything else.

Absolutely. Because English isn't a gendered language, it boggles native English-speakers so they force a naming convention to bend to them instead of just doing a little bit of research or asking someone of that country what the correct usage is, it's not that hard.

It's super frustrating because they are terms meant to be comfortable to the person who doesn't understand the naming conventions and not to the people they are trying to use the label for. So while on the surface it looks like an attempt to be polite, it's actually super dismissive.

My understanding is people sometimes revert to that because of the gendered terms, so Filipino/Filipina. A lot of people in the west aren't sure which to revert to by default so they add an 'x' to make it gender-neutral. Latino/Latina gets the same treatment with 'latinx'.

I'm fine, it's nothing serious, but I've been on the mend and exhausted since.

I miss posing my little guys and being artistic in general, but health and rest comes first. Hopefully when I get some sort of energy back, I can work on some ideas I've had stewing in the ol' noggin. 😩

Not one to be too personal on main because I like my privacy, but sorry for the quietness in terms of /everything/. I have a chronic lung condition that makes me susceptible to lung infections (Bronchiectasis) and unfortunately, one took me out and landed me a stint in the hospital not long ago.

Good morning, it is a new week which means a new week for Ament to be back on his bullshit.

This was the main format I've roleplayed for the last two decades, took a little stop to try and roleplay in an MMO and just found the social politics of it and extra... -Everything- exhausting. It feels fulfilling to go back to my roots and stretch my writing fingers again.

I made it a priority to RP outside of game close to a year ago only and haven't looked back. I don't even RP XIV much anymore - there's just something so freeing about not needing to consider all the extra overhead of glams/mods/housing/whatever that makes it so rewarding, ngl.

Having an OC ship is fucked up, I wanna see my little blorbos being lovely but that means I gotta do it myself, messed up tbh.

I think about him fondly from time to time.
