Sad to hear of Dylan’s passing ☹️
Spent a few minutes admiring this smart adult Yellow-legged Gull in the harbour today before it flew off towards the west cliff #kentbirding
A nice 1st winter Little Gull on the garage pool at Pegwell with BH Gulls this afternoon. At times it was the closest gull to the path, which was handy for firing off a few shots #kentbirding
A rather nice dark Arctic Skua flew quite close (for here) whilst I was at the harbour on Saturday #kentbirding
Its happened before 😊
#kentbirding
Yellow brow still present in Nethercourt Park this lunchtime, but did not perform for the camera (yet). Best I could manage over the last few days was a latish Pied Fly also in Nethercourt and a pair of nice Arctic Terns from Ramsgate West Cliff.
Young Mr Dodds and his lucky pants strike again. Well done laddie 🤣
#kentbirding
A great morning at Nethercourt Park where a Yellow-browed Warbler showed quite well eventually after calling from high up in the trees. Also Firecrest, Goldcrests, Chiffs. Overhead a few Redwings and Siskins plus 3 Crossbills.
#kentbirding
A fall of Goldcrests this morning at Nethercourt Park and many Redwings arriving. On the cliff top the fields were covered with Redwings, Blackbirds, Song Thrushes and Fieldfares. A few Chaffinches and a Brambling. Chiffs were flycatching from the cliff top bushes and several Firecrest.
I spotted this duck at #Pegwell today. A Scaup? #Kentbirding
Another Pied Fly outside Courtstairs park this afternoon and a Firecrest there also #kentbirding
Today delivered 3 Ring Ouzels, 2 female Redstarts and 2 Spot Fly all in the Pegwell clifftop area. Parks were quiet apart from a few crests. Some more bramblings today as well. #kentbirding
Finally some September fun. 2-3 Firecrest in Nethercourt park this morning, Pied Fly Pegwell undercliff at lunchtime, then this evening a Brambling with Chaffinches and 3 Redstart (2m, 1f) Pegwell clifftop bushes #kentbirding
Nice to see Keith’s @ramsgatebirds.bsky.social Whinchat yesterday lunchtime in the rose garden. Another was in the Pegwell horse paddocks in the evening #kentbirding
*This evening
A couple of Spoonbill on the tide those evening at Pegwell. #kentbirding
No, I watch from the hoverport. I haven’t been looking properly for passerines yet but will do soon.
A few more terns at Pegwell on the tide this evening including 1 Arctic and 7 Common. Now 2 Ruff on the salt marsh #kentbirding
#kentbirding
A gazillion Med Gulls on last night’s tide. Among the terns I could only pick out Sandwich, and not in great numbers either. Usual waders, but a Ruff flew in and landed quite close on the marsh.
Pillars of Society 👍
It was their 2nd album, btw. Actually one of my favourites of theirs 😁
Oops #kentbirding. It’s been a while 🤣
8 Yellow Wags Pegwell cliff top this afternoon including this blue headed bird. Other bits over the long weekend included earlyish Hobby, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, Wheatear.

Feedback received. Unlikely to be of German origin as there is someone in the UK who puts wing tags on Buzzards “unofficially”, ie not part of the EU database.
Thanks Kev. No pic I am afraid. There was an email address to report sightings. I will get in touch even though I don’t have much info to share.
