Cuts to Medicaid will:
🏥 Result in closures of hospitals, nursing homes, & clinics
🩺 Cause hospital hiring freezes & increase the workload on already burnt-out nurses
💰Take away coverage & access to important health care services—resulting in sicker patients & higher uncompensated care costs.
House Republicans unveiled their plan to cut at least $880 billion, largely to Medicaid, to help cover the cost of $4.5 trillion in tax breaks, mostly breaks for the ultra wealthy.
People will lose health insurance. People will inevitably die from this.
