Florida ranks 23rd in the nation for weak gun laws, and lawmakers there are trying to roll back legislation passed in the wake of the Parkland shooting to make it easier for 18 to 20-year-olds to purchase firearms.

In Arizona, we’re fighting for policies that would stop gun trafficking at its source by regulating reckless gun dealers, closing the private-sale loophole, and giving law enforcement the tools to trace and disrupt illegal gun pipelines.

Trump: “I don’t like that [Alex Pretti] had a gun.”

REMINDER: Police seized enough ammunition to shoot every member of Congress five times during arrests around the Capitol on January 6, 2021. But that didn’t matter when Trump pardoned every single insurrectionist on his first day back in office.

We are demanding accountability after the chaos, lies, and victim-blaming that followed Alex Pretti’s killing.

Trump is so desperate to justify the killing of Alex Pretti by his federal agents that he's doing an about-face on the Second Amendment:

"You know, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns.”

Trump Administration officials are lying about what we saw on video to defend the indefensible. When anyone can be shot and killed in the street by federal agents, no one is safe from gun violence.

Scores of our volunteers descended on the state Capitol this week to make one thing clear: passing common-sense gun safety legislation is long overdue. We’re demanding that lawmakers ban assault weapons, strengthen background checks, and expand protections for survivors of intimate partner violence.

Volunteers with @everytown.org, @momsdemandaction.org, @studentsdemandaction.org, & others united their efforts today advocating for commonsense gun laws. We should refuse to accept gun violence as normal or beyond our ability to change & fight to protect our communities & our children.

The Trump Administration has used “rising crime” to fear monger and demonize American cities, but this claim is unsupported by data.

People in America should be able to go to work without the threat of being shot. Our hearts are with the victims, survivors, and their loved ones. We continue our work to end gun violence in America in their honor.
