forever bike from @velo-held.bsky.social picked up in Dresden last month which so far has been serving me well in and around Kraków with it's gates carbon belt drive, son dynamo and lighting system, and Shimano Alfine 11 for local hills. Veloheld lane is truly a bike commuter's dream come true.
WTF kind of cycleway is this? 🤔
Midland, Michigan: Cyclists are legally allowed to ride on sidewalks and roadways (MCL 257.660c). At crosswalks, drivers are legally required to yield to cyclists, regardless of direction of travel! Failure to yield is illegal under MCL 257.612(1)(c)(ii).
Please join in voicing your support for Vulnerable Road Users in Michigan. The VRU bill package recognizes that people who walk, bike, ride horses, and use wheelchairs are exposed to traffic risk but not protected by steel frames.
The muli Muskel is light enough to carry up stairs and strong enough to haul 70 kg.
The muli isn’t bulky – it’s built for cities, elevators, and everyday life. Try it out and take it for a test drive
Compact. Capable. Crazy fair.

It's an aesthetic.

Spotted in Karlskrona, Sweden 🇸🇪🚲 Perfect illustration of how one parking spot for cars equals 8-10 spaces for bikes. Imagine #lifeaftercars @thewaroncars.bsky.social
Go to the Netherlands. Hardly any helmets. It helps when biking is a societal norm and not seen as an extreme sport.
Finally. Blaming someone other than cyclists. Cars are the problem. @thewaroncars.bsky.social
Times square should be a pedestrian only public plaza with dedicated and segregated bike infrastructure. Ban the cars.
Now the best bike in the city 🏙️
What does everyday urban freedom look like?
Foldable, flexible, fair.

Hostile Architecture. Guaranteed a normal bench where someone could actually relax and be more comfortable is cheaper.
cars are the problem
railway to hel has a nice ring to it
prohitbition = inbitation 🤣
How many bikes does someone need? Always n+1
Some cities love to show off their bike culture in staged events, but try riding with your family on a normal street. Hostility, honking, no protection. We don’t need hashtags and night rides. We need safe infrastructure. Every day. #cycling #urbanism #mobility
What does it mean to be a “Paris” of something. Well, historically, it's been about the architecture or the arts and culture scene. Today, it could be cities are willing to emulate the City of Love by making the bold choices necessary to become a more livable city. #15MinuteCity #Urbanism #CargoBike
Plain clothes Gestapo
Remember this picture, & others like it, every time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam."
This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s.
Many of the cities we admire made better choices regarding cars in the past. and are still making better choices today.
Better choices instead of excuses.
I love ignoring signs that say cyclists dismount on perfectly usable cycling infrastructure.
tulips are simply glorified paint lines that still do nothing to offer any actual protection to cyclists
Looks like a typical sidewalk in my hometown. There's an ordinance prohibiting it, but it's also not enforced, so no one cares. Then I get yelled at for running in the street because all the sidewalks are blocked 🤷🏼♂️🤣
Motonormativity is a disease
Just wanted to point something out: american suburbs + car culture quietly isolate us. You don’t see your neighbors, you don’t share space—you drive alone, live alone, struggle alone. It keeps us in our class bubbles. That’s by design. Capitalism prefers us divided and quiet.
Beautiful 😍
A local 8th grader (not mine) is doing a civics project about protected bike lanes and is asking for folks to complete this survey: forms.gle/m4oTV66Edvuq...! #bikedc #takomadc
