I'm truly sick of how people keep responding to the endless airtime given to the male grievance movement with "We should give them even more of our attention and focus" instead of, say, talking about its impact on WOMEN.

This verdict in particular is an egregious threat to the First Amendment. He was convicted of "corruptly concealing a document or record" for transporting a box of anarchist zines. In other words, transporting printed essays that featured political speech.

We have a verdict and we are heartbroken at the results.

This is only the beginning. We will continue to fight the remaining charges until every defendant is home.

Everything about this trial from beginning to end has proven what we have said all along: this is a sham trial, built on political persecution and ideological attacks coming from the top.

Hmm, what happened to the campus protests? Guess they all just voluntarily went home.

All eyes on this case.

Solidarity with the Prairieland Defendants.

For them, but also for all of us, as this outcome affects us all.

And as @dfwsupportcommitt.bsky.social has said, no matter what the verdict, this isn't over, so keep paying attention

Solidarity with the Prairieland Defendants. All eyes on closing arguments and the coming jury deliberations.

The result of this railroad will be seen everywhere in short order; the state has pinned imaginary cell-theory onto these activists. They'll do it to others next if this precedence allows.

trans guy i hadn’t met before asks me my pronouns, she/her, his face falls, i say “oh i’m trans don’t worry just a rare flavor, butch trans” he is instantly giddy, says “oh okay yeah of course I knew there was no cisgender explanation for *this*,” he gestures to all of me

I’ve been diagnosed for a while now so the revelation isn’t novel but sometimes i observe myself and am like, wowww nothing but misogyny explains why no one in my life ever suggested ADHD as a possibility until i actively pursued diagnosis.

I “relax” by watching Bob’s Burgers for the 300th time while playing the Wingspan boardgame online on my phone while also practicing piano (yes, all three at once) and it still took until my mid-20s to get an ADHD diagnosis. That’s misogyny in medicine for you.

I’m imagining a week more of editing, another week of publishing work (recording audio, making cover art, formatting the zine) which would make the publishing date in the last days of March/beginning of April. :)

Started this current essay on border enforcement mid-January and this afternoon i fiiiiinally finished a draft of the main body of the piece. Intro and conclusion still left to do, and so SO much editing. This thing is huge. But it’s getting ever closer to being finished!

1990 flyer that reads: PROTEST POLICE
REPRESSION
MEET AT PEOPLE'S PARK...TUES. NOV. 27
AT NOON FOR A RALLY AND MARCH
Early in November, Oska Hermasa, & respected senior member of the Berkeley community and Berkeley Police Review Commissioner, in the role of legal observer requested the badge numbers of officers Braunecker And Sifuentes of the UCPD. They responded to his request by body slamming him to
the ground, cracking a rib. He was handcuffed and arrested on the charge of interfering with a police
officer in the line of duty. Those duties consisted of rousting homeless people under new guidelines for People's Park.
On November 8, 300 people attended a speakout and
march to the UC cop shop, which ended with 11 arrests on trespassing charges.
Since these actions, the level of police repression has greatly iscreased. Witnesses and protestors have been harassed and intimidated. copwatchers have been verbally abused and arrested in retaliation.
Braunecker And Sifuentes have continued to brutalize the community, including clubbing anti-war protestors and beating up a well-know homeless activist. Oska is scheduled for arraignment on Nov.
27, 2 PM at the Berkeley Courthouse (2120 MLK
Vay). Come out to support Oska. Defend your right to observe the cops!!!

We Are Marching To The Court House With These Demands:
* Drop The Charges Against Osha Neumann.
* Fire Braunecker And Sifuentes.
* Stop The Repression Against The Homeless.
* Drop The Charges Against The Sproul Steps 11.
REFUSE TO BE ABUSED STOP ALL COP VIOLENCE!

A 1990 flyer from the first group to call themselves a Cop Watch in Berkeley, California. It’s a call to action after police attacked a legal observer. The struggles of today are always in continuity with the resistance of the past!
