I'm really hoping they make it weird! At the end of the teaser they definitely showed an altered Unit-01 so maybe its another cycle? Maybe adult versions of the Eva crew. Yoko Taro will definitely make something unique that's for sure!
It is strange hearing we're going to get more. Especially when the rebuild films were supposed to be the end. I guess maybe it was the end for Anno and now they're just doing whatever.

Waking up to this news is insane. Idk anyone more fitting than Yoko Taro to helm something Eva related, but also I'm a little nervous about milking this series anymore. I guess for now I'll be cautiously optimistic. That teaser certainly had some magic to it.
