Just finished watching the Silo season 2 finale. That was amazing storytelling. I loved the books and the show is just engages with that world so well. Every performance is top tier. My Friday lunch hours will need to find a new show to watch.

Of all the recent Christmas movies, I find myself watching A Christmas Story Christmas every year. The pressure of making Christmas special as a parent mixed with the return to childhood home and dealing with the loss of a parent. it mixes the joy and sadness I feel every year.

I don't know what I love more the Superman trailer or the Cleveland folks in my social media feeds pointing out where in Cleveland certain things were shot. Looking forward to the movie! I get Fantastic Four and Superman right around my birthday! Can't wait.

I've long been a fan of Jason Segal's acting. Mostly for his comedic timing and ability to make his characters feel so real and lived in. This past episode of Shrinking might be his best work yet including some excellent dramatic work.

I used to work in Healthcare IT in the US. They brought in consultants to "examine our structure for efficiencies" and that resulted in them laying off 85% of our IT department and outsourcing the jobs.

Reached a conclusion over the weekend. I need to trunk the novel I’ve been working on. It’s too personal for me to see it straight. I was working on a short story in a world that I love and editing it realizing that I needed to shelve it for now. So I’ll put it down and start work on something else.

First day of summer vacation. Kid is up at 5:40 and ready to do nothing. Now I have the soundtrack of season 2 of frog and toad while I write.

Nothing like your 12 year old to put doubt in your fashion choices. I bought a pair of comfortable shoes and when my oldest daughter saw them. She sneered and asked why I bought those. Sweet Revenge guess who controls the songs playing on the 16 hour drive to vacation.

I’m excited for the new Knives Out mystery but I wish (and know in this day and age it could never be) that we just never hear any of the other cast members except Daniel Craig. It would be a delightful bit of wonder at who was going to show up next.

Ted lasso had it right sometimes it is the hope that kills you. Had a story (which I consider the best thing I’ve written) on a long hold at a great market get a rejection. This one stung so I’ll take a few minutes then find another market.
