Showing this to myself in 2022 and having an aneurysm

i would not have published this story, as someone who's read literally thousands of threat bulletins cosigned or circulated by the FBI
Everyone should block this person for reveling in spreading misinformation on to your timeline
This is spreading all over Bluesky today and is wildly misleading--it is from eight months ago and it is in reference to working with NATO allies and arming Ukraine.
One thing I'd encourage is to think less about crude and more about products. The loss of product supply is greater than the loss of crude supply (because crude makes products and the Gulf also exports products). And demand *for crude* can drop as availability does.
Kobe was never as good as SGA has been the last 3 years. The Kobe stans are not ready for whenever the discourse around him reenters reality.
One of my favorite stats to throw in Kobe stans faces is that his career high FG% next to Shaq in 01-02 would be Jordan's 11th best FG%. That they even try to force that argument really shows how detached from reality the discourse around him is
Think I counted one non Kobe shot for the Lakers in the 4th, this revisionist history on Kobe is insane
Yeah sure, the guy who took 50 shots in his final game to score 60 points is the avatar of ethical basketball
Counterpoint: stat hunting to break Kobe's 2nd place record is properly honoring Kobe
The thing you never stop hearing about the Dem elite — that their messaging on certain issues was captured by a noisy sliver of the population who don’t talk like normal people — is all that’s happening to the entirety of elite gop, admin and otherwise — comms and policymakers
These people are deeply unwell
Feel like this is a great metaphor for the present state of our country
This is not some Bluesky lefty, this guy is from the fucking Cato Institute
I love how you can tell that he's having waking nightmares about the volatility in the oil market and is trying to post through it

The oil chart looks like a shitcoin that's in the process of being rugpulled
Markets closed in the red today, anyone want to guess what oil and yields did since this last post
Here's your daily Brody who cannot believe I have the audacity to work today
Did a GOP senator write this blurb
The Dollar is falling sharply. Recent Dollar strength was just the usual repatriation flows by US residents as risk aversion spiked. Those flows are always short-lived. Nothing about the Dollar story has changed. The Dollar will end 2026 down around 10%...

It is all batshit, but the main thing to know is that oil is moving the equity markets. I don't know oil markets well so I won't pretend to know wtf is going on there, but that's where any analysis of "wtf is going on" should start. Equities are just along for the ride right now.
As someone who has spent the last decade critiquing politics, I have learned that unless you also write articles about what good things some politicians do, your critiques mean absolutely nothing because there's no context for what you actually want.
Oil pulled back, now stocks go up. Please please please do not make the silly mistake I see so many people making and assuming that equity markets don't think this is a big deal. They are very aware it's a big deal, that's why they are anchored to oil.
Oil up, yields up, stocks down so far today. This all makes sense even though nothing makes sense anymore.
NEW: We just published a deep dive into just how much billionaires are now dominating U.S. politics.
We found 300 billionaire families accounted for 19% of federal donations in 2024. The deluge was even larger in many state and local races.

If I ran NBA stats I'd give the refs an assist on every SGA stepback
