12.09.2025 11:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In the 1950s, Alabama went after Civil rights lawyers in the NAACP for challenging segregation. Now they're going after trans lawyers for challenging anti trans laws.
Nothing ever changes.
Republicans trying to get the idea that "social, psychological, [and] behavioral" traits are inherently and inextricably tied one's "biological sex" codified into law should deeply worry everyone, trans and cis.

26.08.2025 21:44 β π 1052 π 164 π¬ 15 π 3the thing about trans rights is that we fight the civil rights issues of our time. nazi chuds have made this the issue of our time.
it's not more *important* than other civil rights issues, but it is the battleground of the moment, and we have to meet the moment to support everyone's rights.
He blames this moral panic on βpoliticians in Washington trying to use this as a political pawn,β which is exactly right, but then says that transphobic parents have legitimate concerns about βfairness in sports.β Thatβs just not true, and Dems must stop validating this fascist campaign.

the article:
It is just so weird how obsessed republicans are with the genitalia of minors. Healthcare should be a conversation between a person, their doctor, maybe a therapist and if a minor their parents. Get the government out of it as much as possible.
09.07.2025 21:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Instead of working to protect Americans' privacy, today the FTC is hosting what amounts to an anti-trans rally. Nobody is more obsessed with controlling the private decisions of the American people than Republicans.

30.06.2025 20:23 β π 26 π 7 π¬ 3 π 0Surprise surprise. A week after Sarah McBride gives cover fire for throwing trans people under the bus, some Dems are privately indicating theyβll capitulate on trans youth healthcare and citing the pseudoscientific Cass Report literally drafted in consultation with hate groups.

No. 96 136th G.A. 15 (2) "Female" means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell. (3) "Gender identity" means an individual's internal and subjective sense of self, disconnected from biological reality and sex and existing on an infinite continuum, that does not provide a meaningful basis for identification and cannot be recognized as a replacement for sex. (4) "Girl" means a juvenile human female. (5) "Male" means an individual belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell. (6) "Man" means an adult human male. (7) "Sex" means the biological indication of male and female, including sex chromosomes, naturally occurring sex hormones, gonads, and nonambiguous internal and external genitalia present at birth, without regard to an individual's psychological, chosen, or subjective experience of gender. (8) "Woman" means an adult human female. (B) It is the policy of the state of Ohio to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.
A very scary bill just passed in Ohio for transgender folks. No one but local LGBTQ+ orgs are talking about it.
First, Ohio is only recognizing sex assigned at birth, male or female. You can get in trouble for stating otherwise on documents, I imagine. I may need to change my state ID back. 1/5
The New York Times has a very long and sordid history of victim blaming the persecuted.

Note to self: If Fox News immediately picks up your interview and broadcasts it as supporting their audience's anti-trans prejudices it's prbly a good sign you've just thrown your community under the bus. @rikiwilchins.bsky.social

If βgender criticalβ people were facing so much bullying and backlash that a large percentage of them died by suicide and then people mocked them by quoting that figure all the time unprovoked I might almost consider listening to their bellyaching about how everyone is so mean to them
