Schumer: I want to say to Donald Trump, to Johnson, and to Thune: come to the Capitol, sit down in public, and debate us on the health care crisis that’s afflicting Americans.

The public needs to see this.

Schumer: There are no negotiations going on. Trump said there were, and we contradicted him. And actually, just a couple of hours ago, even his own press secretary had to refute what he said.

And you know why he’s saying this? He’s feeling the heat.

Schumer: That issue that MAGA Mike keeps talking about—illegal immigrants getting health care. It’s an effing lie. The law says that federal dollars cannot go to illegal immigrants under Medicare, Medicaid, or the ACA.

And I said that to him in the room. I said, You’re lying. He smirked.

Meiselas: Trump claimed that he and the leaders of the Republican Party were speaking with Democrats. Is he being truthful, or is he lying?

Jeffries: Well, as far as I can tell, that’s a stone-cold lie

Meiselas: Mike Johnson said that it would be theatrics to meet in public.

Jeffries: It’s not theatrics—it’s what the American people deserve.

If Mike Johnson and Republicans feel like they have the high ground, then defend your position publicly, bro.

Wow. It should get more attention that on most social media sites aside from X, the Trump White House is getting absolutely ripped to shreds over the shutdown. These Instagram comments are absolutely brutal for them.
