They put others before themselves, and some have sacrificed their life for someone they never met.

I finally climbed Pico de Orizaba, the tallest mountain in Mexico — a goal I’ve had for years.

For a long time, I let other things get in the way and kept putting it off. But this week, I did it. And it feels incredible.

Immigrants make vital contributions to American society. They drive our nation’s success, prosperity, and enrich our daily lives.

They’re a huge percentage of the healthcare industry —26% of physicians, 16% of registered nurses, & 40% of home healthcare workers.

They are critical to STEM fields—20% of STEM workers & 40% of advanced STEM degrees.

They pay nearly $525 billion annually in federal, state, and local taxes.

They make up 18% of labor force, are more likely to be working age, and actually contribute to the labor participation rate (especially in critical industries like agriculture, & manufacturing)

First post, and here’s the most important thing I can say: immigrants make America great & benefit all Americans 🇺🇸

They contribute $3.3 trillion to the economy and 44.8% of Fortune 500 companies were started by immigrants or their children 🤯

The dialogue needs to change.
