New paper alert !
🇪🇺 What if Europe built its own social media platforms, designed for democracy, and not profit?
The paper, authored by a group of researchers, calls to move beyond fixing a profit driven information structure, to build one that works in the interest of the people and democracy.
📣 The Forum on Information and Democracy is seeking your input for its upcoming policy brief on digital #taxes for funding public interest #journalism in the #digital age.
It will be directly shared with 55 member states of the Partnership for #Information and #Democracy.
Deadline: 16 May

Will you be at #RightsCon2025? Look for us there!
We will present some of the findings of our latest report and would love to see you. We will also discuss international efforts to promote #information integrity.

Just landed in Malta to raise the importance of press freedom and information integrity for lasting peace at the #OSCE Ministerial Council. I’ll notably share some initial thoughts on the project for healthy information space we are running with the office of RFOM.
I’m super excited to announce I'm part of an amazing team (<3 @williambrady.bsky.social @killianmcloughlin.bsky.social @mjcrockett.bsky.social) that just published a paper in @science.org on the role of outrage in spread of misinformation
