for an assignment i chose to reformulate an old exegesis paper on romans 3:21-31 into a homily. for kicks i checked to see what week of the year this hypothetical homily would be preached (according to the RCL). turns out this reading is paired with romans 1:16-17 (rightfully so) BUT it hasn't been

How come the ash Wednesday liturgy in the BCP doesn't include an invitation to almsgiving during lent? We have "self-examination and repentance... prayer, fasting, and self-denial... reading and meditating on God's holy Word," but no almsgiving? 📕
While getting my haircut my hairdresser mentioned her waxes for eyebrows and nostril hair and my nostrils have gotten pretty unruly recently so I was brave and tried it (first one was free!) and y'all. There is no going back. I feel so fresh and free. Highly recommend
