"Each dawn, since the hollyjack had come to the cathedral bringing her strange dreams, the boy had started to think of waking as the opening of petals, or a form of budding."

I do it every year. On the full Adobe CC membership. You have to keep clicking cancel, almost daring them to say yes OK then, and then they finally offer the discount.

Unless it's just you Daniel. What have you done to Adobe?

I need every single male artist that follows me to read this. It's not very long. You need to bear witness to this shit. You have to see it with your own eyes because you never will in your everyday life.

I'm serious, read it all please

A screenshot from our upcoming game Amberspire. One of the factions, Dais, has arrived in the city. To the right is a portrait of one of their members. To the left, a description:

The city has drawn the attention of a new off-world faction...

Dais

Dais are a nomadic religious order in a fervent quest to maintain the corporeality of their god. Small cadres travel the galazy in search of artifacts, converts, and political assistance to maintain the inertia of their faith. It is rumoured that the Dais knights have supernatural abilities, but these are so rarely seen they cannot be resolved.

The Dais favor adds two dice storage spaces, and the penalty removes two dice storage spaces.

Build a city on the ruins of an outer space mausoleum, manage resources to construct and maintain buildings, and preserve balance with the local ecosystem.

Oh, and try not to get on the wrong side of the strange factions keeping tabs on you.

Amberspire is out on May 6th!

One thing I love about Kickstarter is that readers literally help bring the comic to life.

Night Movers is fully written, but the campaign funds the art and print run.

Every backer pushes the book closer to reality.

Digital art of two women gently holding onto one another. Both women are missing their faces. A reddish-orange tangled mass of organic material flows out from where their faces should be and connects them together.

A digital illustration in the style of a woodcut. It depicts the upper half of humanoid figure whose β€œhead” is a flattened organic shape. A serpentine creature delicately wraps around the figure’s arm and into an opening in their face. The figure handles the creature gently.

A digital illustration in the style of a vintage children’s book. It depicts two humanoid figures whose heads are a flattened organic shape with an opening in the center. Leaning forward, their faces are chained together. Their body language conveys that, while slightly surprised, are ultimately cool with this event.

Today’s my birthday! πŸŽ‰

As a way to celebrate, I wanted to repost some art that all share a common theme: surreal depictions of emotional vulnerability and connection.

β€œBe kind, be involved, believe in your art,” he said. β€œAt a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always the prelude to fascism. When they tell you it doesn’t matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if it’s that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.”

I rarely talk about personal stuff on here, but I recently removed myself from an unsafe situation, and am currently trying to recover financially.

I am putting it out there that I'm available for work either as an artist or art director. If anyone is interested please get in touch! ❀️

If you are struggling mentally or are in a dark place let this be a small check point to say, it does get better.

In 2023-24 I had some of the worst depression of my life. I felt like my entire career was gone as Twitter died, but more and more I keep noticing how much I’ve improved since then.

A screen grab from the Guardian showing US Pastors praying with Trump in the Oval Office. Amazingly none of them immediately bursts in to flames.

Text: Video: Pastors pray for Trump and US success in Iran war
In case you missed it, evangelical leaders gathered around Donald Trump in the Oval Office last night and prayed over him and for the US’s success in the war against Iran.

It comes after reports that US personnel have allegedly been told by a commander that Trump β€œhas been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”, according to a religious freedom group that is dealing with complaints over this from service members.

On the same day of that report, US defence secretary Pete Hegseth, who is known for his embrace of Christian nationalism, described Iran as a β€œcrazy regime” that is β€œhell-bent on prophetic Islamist delusions”.

If there was a hell, they'd all be going there. Every single one of them a bullshitter and a charlatan.
