I justify it by remembering that my AuDHD traits are part of what makes me a good programmer. And that eventually I'll balance out the missing time by hyper focusing on an interesting problem and working well past my normal hours. πŸ˜…

I also struggle with this same question. Apparently the numbers for others say to spam, so:

I've only sold one copy of #EchoSight this month. Tell your friends about this deceptively-good genre-bent urban #mystery starring natural enemies: #phoenix #shapeshifters & killer xeno-fungi!

Well, I've been getting a lot of praise from my speech therapist on how well I'm doing in sessions with the voice training, but I still can't get over myself enough to actually engage in conversation with my roommates in new voice. So there's that, if you really need someone to yell at.

The insistence to make the distinction also just ignores how things actually work? If a child is trying to run into traffic because they're ignorant of the danger, you still *stop* them first, *then* educate them. It doesn't work if you try to do it the other way around.

Hm. I'd been waiting to get all of my other docs fixed and hoping I'd get lucky if my first ever application all matched, but I'm still waiting on the court order so I can get my birth certificate fixed. I guess it's worth not waiting, though?

I *nearly* managed to finally join the Thursday Gang this week. It was technically after midnight, but I hadn't slept yet, so close enough? Painless right leg, and perhaps next week I'll manage to do it at my normal time.

Immediately makes me think of this:

That seems like evidence that it's *not* actually a hateable trait?

an older trans woman i've been talking to has been stealth for most of her life and was off estrogen for nearly a decade, essentially given herself menopause, and it is of unfortunately zero surprise that menopausal hrt care is JUST AS BAD as care for people who are outwardly trans.

My only criticism is that then we would have a driver-less moving car in a school zone with children present.

I propose you also gain supernatural power to safely teleport said car to the nearest empty parking space.

Meanwhile, my entire emotional spectrum when I thought I was cisthet was neutral-upset-sad πŸ˜…
Still don't really know what to do with anger, but it sure is neat being able to feel it at appropriate times.

All of the art for this art looks so pretty. It's too bad that I'm absolutely not going to pay to have any of it and can't get it free anymore 😭

I did have a lot of hope for her campaign early on, before it turned into exactly what I'd originally expected. I do like to believe Kamala is genuinely a good and caring person, but it's rough when so many Dems want to throw trans people under the bus at the first sign of needing a spine.

He's definitely full of shit, or just too dumb to see that all the bathroom and school athletics stuff is just a way to normalize making things less safe for trans people and kids. Those TV ads don't surprise me, though. There's a reason I left Texas years ago, as much as I miss Austin.

I love my cat *so much*, but the struggle is real.

She didn't. Despite claims she lost b/c she talked too much about trans issues, she said essentially nothing about them and just let the GOP rhetoric stand. I voted for her, but damn it's disheartening to see the GOP try to make my existence illegal and often the best Dems have to offer is silence.

The cover of my novel, Echo Sight. The main character is wearing a feather cloak and holds a flame in their keft hand and a chain weapon in their right. They float above an underground lake with memories rippling in the water. Behind them, mostly obscured in the dark behind the stalagmites, is a dragon with bright, glowing eyes, watching them.

On top of this cover are blue word bubbles with what you'll find within the book: Adult main character, wise-ass funny narrator, disability and mental health rep, 400 plus page count, LGBT romance, found family, themes of environmentalism, justice, and intersectionalism, shapeshifters, fungal monsters, a near-future tech world, magical realism, and "there was only one bed." A modern map of the alien continent where my novel takes place. It is scribbled on in red ink, with such hits as a travel checklist and some guy's phone number, a badly-proportioned spider, and the entire Sporelands scribbled out with the word "No," in all caps. The focus of the map is a circled city named Akert near the Gulf of Afredal's coast The opening to Echo Sight:
Chapter 1 - The Senka Problem

Blood never clings to phoenix feathers. Symbolic, I guess, though mostly just convenient for me at the time. The guy at my feet was super dead.

The feather quills of my cloak dragged the concrete, so I held its hem close as I crouched beside the body. Raindrops hissed as each one pelted the exposed skin on my face and hands. In the bleak, stormy night, my halo did basically nothing that the bright harbor lights didn't.

"Fucking great," said the big man standing over me. A dark-haired man commanding ocean waves with the movements of his hands. His expression is stern in concentration. He wears a pair of large earrings and a necklace vial containing liquid within. His black formal shirt is soaked through, and underneath him is the words "Echo Sight," the title of the novel he's from.

And it's LIVE on ITCH-IO! DOWNLOAD IT HERE FOR $4.99!

Personally, I've got tons of belly fat at the moment, but honestly it just squicks me out more than my thighs. General needle phobia doesn't help anything. Really, I'm just thankful I've gotten to the point where I can do my own injections, when I couldn't even watch when I started πŸ˜…

I don't know if there was a team change at some point, but I do remember at some point watching some CinemaSins video and thinking, "Why are you calling that a sin for doing exactly what it was intended to?" At some point, the "sins" really started feeling a lot more subjective just to fill time. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

The End times Checklist has always felt deeply wrong to me, even after the childhood thought of "but I want to grow up". If it's time, nothing humans can do could stop it. Trying to force it feels like claiming to know better than God and being able to do better. How can that be anything but sinful?

And that's setting aside the clear warnings in the Bible to specifically *not* try to guess when it'll happen or anything like that. Beyond having enough urgency to not put off good works and evangelism because the end could be tomorrow, it's explicitly a thing for God and God alone to worry with.

A bit, yeah. I actually think The Menace is mostly trying to elicit play from my sweet Russian Blue, who is the older cat and spent years in a much quieter home with just me. Sometimes he'll play a bit, but The Menace likes to play rougher and longer, and then mine has trouble extricating himself.
