I agree that they were good and they've put us in uncomfortable positions, but we did basics poorly. Intensity not on the level which it was in Manchester. Expecting same game from Stina and Frida as in WSL + playing Steph against Fujino once again was extremely naive. Gareth outsmarted Renee.

Our centre backs were so sloppy today, too many poor passes, Leah missed 21 of them. Wally couldn't make a succesful tackle. Frida once again disconnected from the team. Alessia moved on the wing is just waste of our best striker. Disappointing performance.

Fact that we could flip it playing like this is shocking. We've been horrific in all departments.

Great piece, I agree. It's time for the club to show ambition and move when margins are still managable. Year or two more of stagnation may be untenable. We still can hurt Chelsea in one-off game. But in scale of whole season it has been impossible. Difference in class has been clear last 5 years.

Her contract was up, she clearly didn't wanted to stay at the club. It is what it is. Issue is replacing players with equal or better class. We did that with Mariona. We needed floor raiser on the wing after Lacasse went to NWSL and it didn't happen. Time for club to show ambition.

Yup, someone who can keep oponent on their toes, beat her defender, get inside their head thought that if they open too much, one through ball and they are cooked. In some way Cloe Lacasse gave us that, of course plenty haven't worked out, but we didn't replaced her truly.

With Caitlin out, we lose only player who can stretch and create space for long ball from Kyra. I'm gutted for Beth, cause in her form she bags two goals with ease. Rosa seems like Kyra last year. We can push Less on the wing, but then we lose our best attacking asset. Lack of pace, lack of quality.

We lack quality and depth in forwards and it's obvious for some time. We went hard and fought with insane oponent. Beth on her good day packs two goals in first half. It is what it is. We need support from the club and get reinforcements. Blackstenius off bench vs ABJ, James and Reiten is insane.

Quality over quantity always. It's certainly a position in which we have numbers but lack certain profile and quality. If Cait gets injured then we don't have quick, wide player who stretches opostion. It's a position in which we have to recruit highest level of a player sooner or later.

We are too narrow with both Mariona and Beth on sides. No pace at all. Pacey wide player is needed in this team.

Sure, we are in meltdown right now and need to cool our steaming heads :D Yet it doesn't look good from outside when we splash 1m on Walsh at deadline day or doesn't have head coach in middle of January transfer window. Maybe there is some plan, but from outside it's doesn't look reasurring.
