In an interview with OPB, Councilor Smith said about the protesters:

“They are getting more aggressive… they yelled at me ‘Do your job Councilor Smith.’"

In the days following the protest, Smith drafted an ordinance that would allow councilors to openly carry firearms while conducting city business, framing the move as a defensive measure and deterrent against confrontation.

Councilor Loretta Smith later described the protest on social media as a “mini insurrection,” claiming a protester jumped the testifying table and screamed in her face. Video footage and witness accounts from the meeting appear to contradict that characterization.

Videos circulating online & witness testimony all support her account of what had transpired.

The protester said she believed she was moving during a break in proceedings & remained peaceful when she went through the public testimony table & stood in front of the council, holding up the petition. She says security then placed her in a chokehold and pushed her toward the council dais.

This incident at an anti-ICE student walkout in Emunclaw WA was provoked by MAGA vigilante Danny Rebel, a grown-ass man who taunted teenagers before getting punched.

Embarrassing that Emunclaw PD says it was unprovoked. Danny has a history of aggressively trying to agitate the left for content.

BOISE: The pro-ICE event at the Idaho State Capitol building was a massive flop.

It appears they reserved the entire park and had the streets blocked off all the way through Cecil D. Andrus Park. You can barely make them out, not filling up the steps in front of the building.

DHR has been violently targeted by the MAGA regime. DHS stole a DHR Indigenous activist's flag. Feds display it on the wall in the PDX ICE command center as a trophy. They have stolen a lot of DHR property as trophies. The targeted violence and theft on DHR members has been ignored by media.

As someone who was there it was clear that ICE intended to fire teargas on the labor march, directing shots over the heads of those closest to the building and firing munitions directly at the crowd. They even chose munitions that would have the widest possible effect.
