I will never understand why people will so fervently defend an opinion they have without a modicum of stock in it. There are genuinely interesting conversations to be had in discussing perceived "accuracy" in adaptations, but they get drowned out by people who don't know what they're talking about.
As much as it sucks that we have to wait, I'll wait a decade if it means it's made properly, with no crunch or bend to studio demands. That's the price we should be willing to pay for good art
I remember coming out of COVID seeing all the shock at reports of audience misconduct at Live Theatre. Unfortunately we still have not recovered as a society (had to go and tell a bloke off for answering the phone mid screening the other day and he was genuinely confused as to what the issue was)
