Well this is exciting! On MLK day we've seen faΕΓ§ism make a comeback, rights already beginning to be stripped, and not one but TWO NΔαΊΜΓ salutes on live TV. Are we great yet??
Sometimes our first attempt doesn't go as planned. 45 mins into doing my face last night I decided I hated all of it, and scrapped it. Wiped it all off and started over. I'm happy with what I ended up with, but it wasn't quite what I was aiming for. And that's OK!

It's been WEEKS since I had to get into an actual drag face! Last week's Santa look didn't really count. This week's look for Live! With Fefe & Freddy was me trying to get back into the swing of things.
Well it looks like I have even more reasons to try and post more over here. I just have to make it like muscle memory. But, I got used to MySpace after Friendster, and Facebook after MySpace. This is just another adjustment!

We open a week from today! I'm excited and nervous. I haven't done community theatre in over 20 years, and I've NEVER done it as my authentic self. Here's hoping i don't let folks down. π€π»
So. Wicked. From the standpoint of someone who has read the books and seen the stage play almost a dozen times.
Pros: costumes, effects not possible on the stage, voices, cinematography.
Cons: some stuff they dragged on for too long. Arianna's lack of enunciation drove me nuts.

Private screening of Wicked tonight, with the RipplePHX folks! Doubles as a birthday present for our kiddo (the timing worked out great!). Couldn't care less about Arianna, but I'm stoked for the rest of the stellar cast!
